MADISON, NJ – The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by Wilkes, 4-2, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils end the season with a record of 4-15 (1-7 Freedom) while the Colonels improved to 9-7-2 (5-2-1 Freedom).
Wilkes scored the first two goals of the game before FDU cut it to 2-1 with 2:09 left before halftime when sophomore defender John Gaw (Washington, NJ/Warren Hills) converted a pass from sophomore midfielder Mauricio Rosas (West Long Branch, NJ/Shore). The Colonels then made it 4-1 with two goals early in the second half before sophomore forward Matt Kinsley (Pearl River, NJ/Pearl River) rounded out the scoring with a goal at the 74:20 mark.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kevin Herbert (Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park) made eight saves in net.
