ANNVILLE, PA - Senior defensive tackle Kevin Hatcher-Puryear (Richmond, VA/North Plainfield), senior defensive end Rob Roberts (Somerset, NJ/Franklin) and senior linebacker Vinny Russo (Kenilworth, NJ/David Brearly) were named First Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference while senior wide receiver Rob Eck (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) and junior tight end Beau Reed (Fair Haven, NJ/Rumson) were named to the Second Team on Wednesday morning.
Roberts led the team with 8.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries while finishing third with 9.5 tackles for loss. In the conference, he is second in sacks and 15th in tackles for loss while his sack total places him 28th in the nation.
Russo finished first on the squad with 83 total tackles, 44 solo tackles, 39 assisted tackles and 15 tackles for loss while ranking second with five sacks and seven passes broken up. In the conference, he is second in tackles for loss, tied for seventh in passes broken up, seventh in total tackles and ninth in sacks. Nationally, he ranks 60th in tackles for loss.
Hatcher-Puryear was second on the team with 37 solo tackles and 14 tackles for loss while ranking third with 65 total tackles and three sacks. In the conference, he is third in tackles for loss, 15th in total tackles and tied for 18th in sacks. He placed 65th in the nation in tackles for loss.
Eck led the Devils with 55 receptions, 678 yards and six touchdowns while also ranking second with 12.3 yards per catch. In the conference, he was first in receptions per game (5.5), second in receiving yards per game (67.8), seventh in all-purpose yards per game (67.8) and 10th in scoring touchdowns per game (3.6).
Reed was first for FDU with 14.3 yards per catch, third with 272 receiving yards and fourth with 19 receptions while also helping out with the blocking in the run game.
