Devils Knocked Off By DeSales, 3-1

CENTER VALLEY, PA - The College at Florham Devils were beat by DeSales, 3-1, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon. The Devils are winless in their last six games.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 7-7-1 (0-3-1 Freedom) while the Bulldogs improved to 10-4 (3-1 Freedom).
DeSales got on the board first, at the 14:01 mark, but the Devils came back to tie the score at 1-1 seven minutes later when freshman midfielder Manny Almeida (Elizabeth, NJ/Union Catholic) found the back of the net. The Bulldogs responded by taking a 2-1 lead in the 27th minute before adding an insurance goal with 20:52 left in the contest.
Junior goalkeeper Kevin Herbert (Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park) suffered the loss, allowing three goals while making four saves.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at home against Delaware Valley beginning at 3:30 pm.
