| Rotsides played soccer for FDU from 1967 to
1970, captaining the squad in 1969 and 1970. He was a three-time
All-American, earning that honor in 1968, 1969, and 1970. During
his four years, he racked up 130 career points to rank second
on FDU's all-time list. His 73 career goals are the most ever
by an FDU player. In a 13-game season in 1968, he scored 26 goals
to set a single-season record for FDU. After leaving FDU, Rotsides
played professional soccer in Cyprus from 1971 through 1974.
During these same years he also played for the Cyprus National
Team. Rotsides returned to the states in 1974 and played professional
soccer for the New York Freedoms until his retirement in 1984.
He currently owns a restaurant in Morris County and remains active
in soccer by refereeing high school games. Rotsides and his wife,
Milly, live in Roxbury, New Jersey. |
