| Pat
Dougherty played baseball at FDU from 1984-1987 and was named
FDU-Madison Male Co-Athlete of the Year in 1987. He was a three
time team MVP, garnering that honor in 1985, 1986, and 1987.
Dougherty ranks third on the single-season doubles list with
12 in 1987 and third in RBI list with 70. Dougherty also threw
the first and only no-hitter in FDU history. After leaving Fairleigh
Dickinson in 1987, Pat worked at PageNet, Inc. (a paging/telecommunications
company) for a year and then moved on to the healthcare industry,
working for U.S. Healthcare as a sales representative. In 1992,
Pat came back to the FDU as a graduate assistant where he helped
coach the baseball and men's basketball teams. In 1993 Pat started
his career in the financial service industry working for the
Oppenheimer Funds, a mutual fund company based in New York City
where he still works. Pat has risen through the ranks and currently
holds the post of Vice President, Regional Sales Manager for
the Pennsylvania Division at Oppenheimer Funds. In January of
1996 Pat married Mary Beth Larkin, who he met at Fairleigh Dickinson
University ten years earlier. On October 23,1998 Mary Beth gave
birth to a baby boy, Nolan Patrick Dougherty. |
