Ann Petracco - Head Coach

Ann Petracco enters her fifth season at the helm of the field hockey program. Last season, Petracco led the Devils to their best finish since 1997 as FDU reached both the Middle Atlantic Conference Tournament and the ECAC Tournament. The Devils have not played in both tournaments in the same season since 1988 and Petracco expects more of the same from this year's group.

Petracco, who also serves as associate athletic director, coached field hockey at Rutgers University for 26 seasons, compiling a 248-229-40 record. During her tenure, the Scarlet Knights advanced to the NCAA Tournament six times, including two appearances to the Elite Eight. In addition, the Scarlet Knights were nationally ranked in the top 20 in 11 different seasons. Petracco also coached women’s lacrosse for 11 seasons (from 1980-1990) at Rutgers.

Petracco led the Scarlet Knights to eight straight conference tournaments and guided the team to the 1997 Eastern College Athletic Conference title.

Over the course of her career, Petracco has coached 60 regional all-Americans and 10 national all-Americans.

Petracco started her coaching career at Pompton Lakes High School (NJ), where she coached field hockey and basketball for four years and taught physical education. She then returned to Madison High School (NJ), her alma mater, coaching field hockey and basketball while teaching physical education.

A member of the National Coaching Committee from 1981-1985, Petracco has coached at “A”, “B”, and “C”-level Olympic Development Camps and served as an assistant coach at the 1987 Olympic Festival. Petracco served as the New Jersey regional director of USA Futures from 1990-1993 and coached at Super Camp from 1995-1997.

She has run the nationally-prominent Competitor’s Edge Field Hockey Camp each summer since 1981.

Petracco played collegiately at Trenton State (now the College of New Jersey) as well as one season at Worchester College of England. She also played on the North Jersey Association team, earning New Atlantic sectional first-team honors. In addition, she was named to the USA National Squad in 1976 and 1977.

The Franklin Park, NJ resident earned her bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Trenton State College in 1970. She earned her master’s degree in education from Rutgers in 1981.

She has run the nationally-prominent Competitor’s Edge Field Hockey Camp each summer since 1981.

Assistant Coach - Jenn Noon

Jenn Noon enters her fourth season on the field hockey staff where she is the Recruiting, Scouting and Academic Coordinator. She is also an assistant for the women's basketball and women's lacrosse teams.

Noon helped lead the team to the Freedom Conference and ECAC Tournaments in both 2006 and 2007, a feat that has not been accomplished since 1988. She also currently coaches with the United States Future Program and in the Garden State Games Under-16 Division.

A standout field hockey player at Rutgers University, Noon was named First Team All-Big East in 2003. She was also a three-time All-Academic player. She was named Big East Offensive Player of the Week for the week of of September 8, 2003 as well as the "Daily Targum" Athlete of the Week for that same week. In 2002, she earned the field hockey team's "Mission Statement Award" and was named to the National Academic Team.

She graduated from Dallas Senior High School in Shavertown, PA where she was named All-State and Academic All-State. She currently resides in Florham Park.
