UPDATE # 25 - Winter 2005/2006

Football

Football wrapped up, and the off-season workouts have been in full swing. We resumed training after Thanksgiving, and the players started 4 two week blocks of training, with a different emphasis in each training block. They're getting a winter workout to follow until the the end of January, when classes resume. At that point, we'll follow a 4 day/week routine that we think the players will really see tremendous results from. We'll be using a "Maximum Effort" (Higher intensity of training, no emphasis on speed or recovery) method; a "Dynamic Effort" (Lower intensity, emphasis on barbell speed and alternative training methodologies) method; and a "Repetition Mehod" (emphasis on volume and hypertrophy). We're going to pull it all together for a great spring! Once the semester starts, we'll start displaying some sample workouts.....

Women's Soccer

Women's Soccer had another great season falling just short of the NCAA tournament, but winning the ECAC title. They're back in 3x/week, in two groups. They'll have a winter routine to follow, and we'll post their workouts as well this spring.

Men's Basketball

Basketball season has begun. We'll make every effort to train 2x/week; the day following a game and 48 hours before the next contest, if possible.... They're doing the basics, cleaning, squatting, and pressing in an attempt to stay strong this winter. They can not afford to lose strength over the long season.

Field Hockey

This team has given a lot of effort to train as a team late this fall, and I hope the great effort continues this spring!!

Other Notes

The Women's record board is up, and there is already spirited competition to get recognized on the board. We'll post the results on the "Records" page on this site once things start to get filled in...
