UPDATE # 22 - Winter

Football

Football made it through it's most successful season in some time. The team escaped with few major injuries, annd many guys were able to keep their lifts within 5-10% of their personal bests. This team did not get weaker a\s the seson went on! Now that the offseason has begun, the team has begun a 4x/week training split. They lifted for maximum muscle mass and general strength over winter break, and will be training using the conjugate method this spring. Mondays and Fridays are "max effort" days, where they go to a one rep max in a host of different exercises, followed by very heavy assistance work in the 80%+ training ranges. Tuesdays and Thursdays are "dynamic" days, and we train using barbell speed and timed rest intervals on these days. We'll try to post some sample workouts as the semester progresses. NEW! - Sample workout - Week #4

Women's Soccer

This squad had their best season ever in the fall. They physically dominated most of the teams that they played, and we will work to insure that this trend continues next year! Soccer will be training 3 times a week, primarily for strength and power. High reps and high volume will NOT be used here. This team needs to stay explosive!

Men's Basketball

Men's basketball had a solid pre-season, and is continuing to train 2 times a week through the incredibly long season.

Women's Lacrosse

This team started training 2 times a week, with a strength emphasis day, and a speed day. I expect big things to come for this group!

Field Hockey

This group needs to make more of a team effort to train. They'll be going 3 times a week in manner similar to - but not identical - to soccer. We need to become more powerfull as a team!

Volleyball

This team had the best season in school history, winning over 30 matches. They're back in the weight room, training 3 times a week, working on general strength and explosiveness.
