As a team, the lifting averages (one rep max) were:
We are very pleased with these numbers, considering the enormous number of first year players that are on the team! During the summer, the team will be training four days a week, and completing speed/drill/conditioning work four days a week also. We'll try and post some summer testing numbers as camp approaches. Women's Soccer The soccer squad will be lifting three times a week, and completing speed/drill/conditioning work four days a week. Men's Basketball Men's basketball should now be rested, and ready to train in ernest during the later months of the summer. They'll complete a general strength phase, followed by some non-linear periodzation in July and August. Women's Lacrosse Women's lax should be refreshed from its season, ready for some general strength gains this summer. We'll get more specific with them as the school year begins. Field Hockey Field Hockey should be training like their lives depend upon it this summer. They too will be lifting three days a week, and doing speed/strength/conditioning work four days a week until camp starts. Volleyball Volleyball will be gearing up to "take the next step" this year. Some extra S&C could take this team to the NCAA tournament! Softball Softball had its best season this century! They have a great amount of talent that we'll look to harness in the weight room later this summer and throughout the fall... |
