UPDATE # 27 - Fall 2006

Football

Congratulations go to DL Eric Allen and LB Dan Mesday, who won the "Strength & Conditioning Athlete of the Year" award for this past year! The award was hotly contested, but their hard work and progress was impossible to ignore...Our football players finished strong this summer, with three other records falling at the end of the summer. DL Tom Capra had a huge record 192.5 kg front squat, while QB Dan Huff set the standards for both Back Squat (155 kgs) and Flat Bench (315 lbs.). Great job guys! After a demanding camp, the in-season program looks like this:

Max effort clean 2 week cycles
Floor Press

Tricep ext./JM press

Women's Soccer

Women's soccer returned "raring" to go. They're in 2x week, training on the days after each contest.

Men's Basketball

Basketball begins pre-season training on Monday, Sept. 11. They'll lift 3x/week, and do speed work 2x/week until official practice begins in October.

Field Hockey

We think this will be a big year for the field hockey team. They're getting stronger, and we hope that their success in training will have some carryover to the field. Field Hockey has already matched their win total from last year, and things are looking up for the squad!

Volleyball

Volleyball trains with us 2x/week as they begin their quest for the NCAA tournament!
