"Devils Power" is the term we use to describe Fairleigh Dickinson's strength and conditioning program. Located in the Ferguson Recreation Center, we strive to provide our Division III athletes with the greatest chance to be successful.

Devils Power revolves around sports performance. Our training programs are specifically designed for each sport, so that the athletes can make the transition from the weight room to the playing field. We want our athletes to be the fastest, strongest, and biggest as possible - in that order.

Fastest - Speed kills. In sports, you must be able to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible, and it's not always in a straight line!

Strongest - Once you get to where you are going, you must have the physical ability to make the play.

Biggest - Although this is not the most important aspect of a sport (that's right, even in football), it can help if you can wear down opponents by making them work harder to compensate for your size.

We accomplish these goals through sport specific training. The olympic lifts, along with the squat, are the foundation of Devils Power. Combining these with core work, plyometric work, and functional drills helps our athletes prepare to win. We will use a variety of special - strength methods to improve. Having an open mind an a willingness to learn is critical here!
